Okay, so I am sitting here watching one of my favorite movies..."Mean Girls"...Ben is at band rehearsal for a gig they have tomorrow night, and Jackson is snoozing upstairs. What's a girl to do but reflect on life, ambitions, the future? I don't make New Year resolutions, I absolutely never stick to them...but I do have some serious goals to accomplish in 2008. Here are my "Top 8, in '08"...
1. Photograph at least 20 weddings this year. Last year I shot 14, and as of now I
have 14 booked for 2008. I want a destination wedding...I love to travel:)
2. Attend at least one seminar or training event for photographers. Continuing
education is important in this industry...there are new things developing all
the time.
3. Purchase a few new pieces of equipment to allow me to be even more productive
and original.
4. Plan and execute 5 experimental photo shoots. I want to explore my creativity
and generate some new and fun ideas for photography in Abilene:)
5. I really want to brand myself better. T-shirts are in the works...I'm not quite
sure if that is a fabulous idea, or if it's nerdy? Either way, whoever sports
the Cotton Photography attire, is going to be a member of the "cool kids"!
We'll see how that goes:)
6. There is a special book I have been planning for about a year now, I really hope
to be sharing that with you in the coming months. I know you want more info
than that, but it's a precious thing that I want to share it once it is done:)
7. I want to wear the love of Christ on my heart...and on my sleeve. I want all of
you to feel the Lord's arms around you when we're together. I want to make it
impossible for you to walk out my door and not know who my Savior is. I don't
want to push my faith on anyone, simply share it.
8. My 5-year anniversary is this June. I want Ben and I to take a trip somewhere
really random. Somewhere spontaneous. Whether it is for our anniversary or a
family vacation, I want to plan a fun trip this year:)Well, there you have it, these are a taste of what is going on in my head...I have much more, but then I couldn't call it my "top 8, in '08"!:) I have a lot planned for this year. Ben and I have been brainstorming ideas for Cotton Photography. This year is going to bring some great things!
