Update on Ben...

Saturday morning, 9:30am...

Ruff night, but he is sleeping soundly now. The diagnosis is an pretty bad infection near his Appendix surrounding the Secum. They washed out as much infection as they could, and he will be here on IV antibiotics for at least 5-7 days. They were able to make three small incisions, so hopefully the recovery time will be cut down. The doctor said that now we need to find out how the infection started, and why he wasn't running a fever or didn't have an elevated white cell count. So further testing will be done once the infection is taken care of.

He is in quite a bit of pain and didn't get much sleep last night, so I expect him to sleep most of the day today. It's probably not a good idea for visitors just yet, maybe tomorrow. Pray that the infection heels soon:)

I have a wedding to shoot this afternoon, don't worry Ben's parents are staying with him, so I will update again this evening. Thank you for the prayers, comments and emails...they are very encouraging:)
